I played in World Handball Tournament many years ago and we spent a week in Dublin, Ireland.
People were great tournament was on radio and television handball was number two sport in Ireland.
Also, it is considered the birth place of the sport called fives at the time.
I recommend seeing Ireland and meeting there people.

  1. Kirsten says:

I remember as a teenager reading novels based in Ireland. I used to dream of traveling there. This reminds me of those days and renews the dream… I simply have to go to Ireland.

  2. Yes, Fred Lewis was a six time national champion and a good friend.
He came out of Miami Beach to become one of the all time greats.
I talked him into moving to Tucson, Arizona and we would workout together once a week.

  3. I was ranked 6th in the World in handball at the time. The tournament invited the number 2, 4, 7 players they also competed we also got to play on Irish court 60’x30′ USA courts were 20’x40′. The winners received water ford crystal bowls it was a wonderful cultural experience.
